As I came into my late 50’s, I realized I was far from financially prepared for retirement. I knew nothing about Social Security, Medicare, or retirement plans. I didn’t know when I could collect, how much I would get, what Medicare covered or when my 401(k) would kick in. I decided it was time to look.I gathered all the material I could from websites, pamphlets, and articles. I saw that the information was confusing, conflicting, and spread out. I wanted to make it simple for myself. So, I wrote it down in clear, easy-to-understand steps. As I did this, it occurred to me that there must be many others who could benefit from this as well, and I decided to share what I had learned in the hope that this information might help you on the road to a better, more fulfilling retirement.
